Believe it or not, this actually took me a long, long time. :D Playing with gimp is loads of fun, and discovering it a couple weeks ago has given me something interesting to play with in my free time.
Anyhow, stock used was some of my own, of my buddy Vanessa:

If you have never checked out this stock before, do so! Absolutely beautiful model stock.

Anyhow, I'd love to hear thoughts on this. I know it's no great shakes, but hey, I might like to try photo manipulating in the future, and so I'd love to know how I might improve.

Oh I know.. manips take time.. but for first try, it is gorgeous. I think the thing that most stands out for me, is the colors.. I mean, they look little off. In gimp there should be something like color-> Color Balance/ Hue and Saturation. When changeing them you can make the model fit much better to the image. I mean.. usually, in photos or so.. the colors have somekind of certain colorschema.. Like shots taken in sunset are all more red and yellow and darker shadows.. and like this winter picture.. everything is white and cold and blue.. And probably the cloack color really goes the same line - very saturatated red in cold condition.. but that pink/magneta/violent dress just is too saturated or something.. it feels wrong.. lowering the saturation and turning it little more blue probably works.
