And, that being said, this contest lasts for just a couple more days! If you have any interest in participating, please do, we'd love to have more entries. Anyone is welcome to enter!


The theme is "Your Ideal Secret Garden."

Be creative! Not all gardens are flower gardens, for example. But we want you to depict what your own secret garden would be - your "paradise" garden, so to speak.

The rules are as follows:

1. Up to three entries per person.

2. You must use at least one model stock from us, sitara-leotastock, in your picture. On this, note that:
Forest Child 3 [link] and White Statue Stock 3 [link] are both prohibited for use as the sole model stock in this competition. If you use them, you MUST use one additional sitara-leotastock model also in your picture.

3. This contest is not limited to photomanipulation, but you must still use one of our model stocks, whatever art form you use.

4. The time you can begin entering work March 5. The deadline to enter work by is June 1- or technically 12:00 A.M. the morning of the 2nd.

5. Send us the link to your entries. You must say in your description that your work is for this contest.

6. All our normal rules still apply. Check our journal for what those are.

JUDGING:
This contest will be judged by five judges: Alexandra, April, Elise, Chelsea, and Laura. Each of the five will pick a personal favourite, and then between the five of us, we will pick the top three.

What is a bit unique in this contest is that we want to give you the option to pander to the likes of a specific judge, or all of them, to try and get their vote if you like. Thus, we will release tidbits of information about all of them.

Alexandra: ~Sitara-Leota [link]
Favourite flowers are cherry blossoms and lotuses, but adores most flowers in existence. Favourite colour is green, and she loves very green, woodsy things. Loves most colours, to the point that she does not have a least favourite colour. Video game and anime nerd. Loves Asian things, especially Japanese. Fascinated by martial arts. Adores "elegant" things. Loves music - plays piano and sings. Music tastes range from classical & opera, Jpop/Jrock, oldies & classic rock, some Broadway. Favourite singer is Josh Groban. Favourite shows are Card Captor Sakura, Rozen Maiden, Monster, among others. Prefers warm weather. Spring and Summer are favourite seasons. Enjoys reading. LOVES strawberries - Also likes cherries, lemons, limes, blackberries, raspberries, and clementines.

April: ~Arduina Favourite colour is green. Likes blue a lot as well. Favourite flowers are white roses and white lilies. Also likes anime and video games, but is not as fanatic as Alexandra. Likes to cook, plays piano. Also likes music. Big fan of rock. Also likes Josh Groban, some classical, and some jpop. Prefers cold weather over warm. Likes dark colours. Loves blueberries. Enjoys photography. Likes to write. Loves Disney. Loves Grimm’s Fairytales, other fairytales, myths, and legends. Is a pyromaniac.

Elise: ~Confsin [link] Loves neutral, earthy tones. Loves browns, and splashes of very bright colours mixed within – especially orange and yellow. Loves roses – the less refined and engineered looking, the better. Loves wild flowers, especially wild roses. Loves water – oceans, ponds, creeks, and even birdbaths. And attractive men. Loves Gir from Invader Zim, and is as cute as him. Loves nature and the wilderness. Loves trees. Prefers cold weather over hot.

Chelsea: ~Eulacetor [link] Doesn’t have a favourite colour, but likes bright colours: yellow, pink, green, orange, purple, blue, red. Change a lot. Loves calla lilies, lilies, and bright, exotic flowers. Happy, quirky person, who likes quirky things. Is a romantic. Likes the work of Salvador Dali. Likes fruits and vegetables. Doesn’t mind being the damsel in distress, but also likes to be in control. Loves the beach. Loves Broadway – especially hit musical “Wicked.”

Laura: ~nhavie [link] Favourite colour is blue – specifically “sterling” (a sort of mix between silver and blue). Music is her outlet for everything. She is Irish. Loves wings – loves it when people use wings in pictures. Also loves use of elemental things. Loves sunflowers. Loves foxes – especially fennec foxes.
